‘Rites of Passage Ceremonies’ are for those special times of transition in our lives. We all crave a sense of belonging, and inviting people that are important to you to join with you in honouring a new season of life with a bespoke ceremony can be a beautiful way to do this!
The brilliant poet John O'Donohugh wrote "We have fallen out of belonging. Consequently when we stand before crucial thresholds in our lives, we have no rituals to protect, encourage and guide us as we cross over into the unknown".
I believe this to be true – and it is my absolute delight to craft ceremonies and rituals to support this 'crossing into the unknown' - to help create a structure and a focus for the gathering of friends and loved ones around you at these tender times.
Obviously, you dont need a celebrant to do this - you can take any of the ideas below and create your own special celebration! But if you'd like some help, or someone to hold the space, and gently, intuitively guide you through the proceedings, I'm your girl!!

Here are just a few of the types of Ceremony I love to co-create and deliver:
· New Mama Circles (alternative or addition to a baby shower. Gathering support and love around you on the threshold of parenthood. Sometimes they involve crafting, singing and bespoke rituals designed to nurture the new mum. These circles can also include new dads!)
· Bridal Circles (an alternative or addition to a hen party – to take some time to honour the transition into a new season of life surrounded by your most important women. Some beautiful ceremonies I’d led have included 3 or 4 generations of women, sharing their wisdom and experience with the bride-to-be.
·
· Significant Life Events – eg Divorce, retirement, Diagnosis, End of medical treatment (Sometimes we need to be really intentional about inviting in support, love and rituals for these tender times, and I can help you identify what you need and want from your nearest and dearest and how to include them in your journey)
·
· Milestone Birthday Circles (alternative or addition to a traditional birthday party. Allowing time and space for the people who know and love you best to honour you with words, music and rituals designed to celebrate you and what is important to you)
· New Home Blessings (In all the busy-ness of moving in, it can be meaningful to bless and cleanse your new home, honouring the start of this new chapter in a new place with ritual and ceremony)
· Transition or Renaming Ceremonies (An opportunity to celebrate the wholeness of who you are and be loved, acknowledged and witnessed by the people who matter)
· Coming of Age Ceremonies (Beautiful and meaningful celebrations for young people and the ‘elders’ in their lives to acknowledge the transition out of childhood and welcome them into the next season of life)
· Menopause Ceremonies (Because there’s enough that’s challenging about being a woman ‘of a certain age’! So these ceremonies are for individuals or groups, to honour and celebrate your transition into the 'wise woman' years and embrace your ‘crone crown’! )
