Events & Circles
Sacred circles, Women’s retreats and Events
I have been facilitating sacred circles, women’s retreats and events for the past 10 years - and the magic that we co-create when open-hearted women gather together never ceases to amaze and inspire me!
If you’re interested, I have written a blog post about how I got involved in Circles and what being a Circle holder means to me.

Upcoming Events & Circles 2026
WOMENS CIRCLES - SPRING/SUMMER 2026
Women have been gathering for millennia to talk, listen, share and support - and this ancient practice feels more necessary than ever in these wild times we are living through!
Circles are a monthly gathering for all women regardless of background, identity or experience., themed around the moon’s phases and the seasonal invitations of the wheel of the year.
Each session is gently guided and invites reflection, contemplation, and the opportunity to talk, listen and be heard, within a generous-hearted sisterhood (….and there is always tea and cake!).

Circles are held in 4-6pm at The Rackliff Centre in Rusthall, TN4 on Sunday afternoons 4-6pm, and are limited to maximum of 10 women.
You’re invited to commit to the whole 6-month block in order to build trust and relationships within the group, but there are also a limited number of ‘drop in’ spaces available if you need more flexibility!
Investment: £90 for the 6-month block, or £18 per session.
(if finances are a barrier, please get in touch to ask about subsidised spaces)
2026 Dates:

CYCLICAL LIVING IN A LINEAR WORLD
A WEEKEND RETREAT FOR WOMEN MAY 1-3rd 2026
A nourishing weekend retreat devoted to remembering our cyclical nature in a world that urges us to move in straight lines. It is open to all women – regardless of background, identity or experience.

We’ll be gathering at a retreat centre in East Sussex at a threshold moment in the year – Beltane (May Day) which celebrates the peak of spring, and coincides with a full Flower moon – so it will be a beautiful moment to join with other women to rest, reflect, connect and remember who we really are.

Through circle, ritual, fire ceremony, movement and moonlit gathering, we will:
🌿Reconnect with our inner seasons
🔥 Release what is not ours to carry
🌕 Honour the radical wisdom of rest
🌸 Celebrate what is blooming
✨ Reclaim rhythm and cyclical living

What you need to know:
🔥Retreat includes 2-night accommodation in comfortable, en-suite private rooms (bedding, towels etc all provided) and includes all meals, drinks and snacks (dietary requirements catered for, and hot drink making facilities available at all times)
🔥Investment: £275 per person (or £160 per person if you come with a friend and share a twin room)
🔥The weekend will be gently structured and led by me, Joy Neal. There will be several (optional) sessions each day, along with shared meals, rituals, walks, and opportunities to be alone in a beautiful place if that is what you need!

COFFIN CLUB TUNBRIDGE WELLS
We are part of Coffin Club UK – a not-for-profit death literacy organisation working hard to normalise conversations about death, and helping everyone to understand more about their options when the time comes.
Coffin Club TW is a friendly, monthly drop in at Leaf & Bean Café in southborough (nearby parking at John Street carpark)
We offer a supportive space to talk. Because death is the one thing that will happen to every single one of us, but often we don’t discuss it until it’s too late! So, if you’d like to join the conversation please come along!
Bring your stories, your questions, or just your curiosity. No judgement, no pressure, no taboos – just opportunities to join the conversation about a subject that affects us all!
Once a month on a Friday 5.30-6.30pm @ Leaf & Bean Cafe:
Friday 27th February 5.30-6.30pm
Friday 20th March 5.30-6.30pm

Everyone is welcome and entry is free
(and delicious food and drinks are available to buy at Leaf & Bean if interesting conversations make you feel peckish!)

LOSS & REMEMBERING - AN AUTUMN CIRCLE
Sunday 1st October 2026
This turning point in the year (known as Halloween, All Hallows, Samhain, All Souls,All Saints Day) has long been considered a precious opportunity for honouring ancestors and for reverential recognition of loss and grief.
Often, there is little opportunity in our busy modern lives for intentionally sitting with grief, sharing stories of those we have lost, and acknowledging the impact of loss on our lives.

Informed by my experience as a funeral celebrant, hospice bereavement support volunteer and circle holder, this event weaves ritual and ceremony with talking, remembering and honouring our losses and the complex feelings that surround them.
This 4 hour event for women offers a soft and supportive space to witness and honour loss of any kind.
Please note, this retreat is not an alternative to counselling or psychotherapy if that is what you feel you need.

Sunday1st November 1-5pm 2026, Tunbridge Wells
To book a space or find our more contact me.

Investment: £45pp (discounted spaces available if finances are a barrier)

THE HEROINE’S JOURNEY
An empowerment Circle for Mothers & Daughters
Circles can help equip our daughters with the tools for a safe, connected, confident journey into womanhood.

And participating in a Circle of mothers and daughters – all learning, growing and sharing together is a beautiful way to spend meaningful time with our girls, and to strengthen foundations for trust and connectedness as they enter adolescence.

If you would like to be part of the next Heroines Journey circle, or if you have a group of mums and daughters and you'd like me to facilitate a circle for you - just get in touch!

These circles are inspired by the work of Melia Keeton-Digby. They are currently open to girls aged 9-12 and their Mums, Grandmas or carers.
